Nordisk Odontologisk Förening


N.O.F. - Scandinavian Association for Dental Research, originally founded on January 7, 1918 in Göteborg, Sweden and made an official Division of the International Association for Dental Research, IADR in 1970, is the central organisation for odontological research in the Scandinavian countries; functioning as the link organisation of the International Association for Dental Research.

A number of colleagues were recogniced at the IADR opening ceremony in Iguacy, Brazil June 20. The following prices were handled out to the following recipients:

The IADR Distinguished Scientist Awards went to the following researches withing NOF.

The Behavioral, Epidemiological and Health Services Research Award was recieved by Anne Nordrehaug Åstrøm, University of Bergen, Norway.

The Research in Dental Caries Award went to Eva Söderling, Univerisity of Turku, Finland.

The Research in Prosthodontics and Implants Award went to Pekka Vallittu, University of Turku, Finland.

Daniel Jönsson, Malmö University, Sweden was one of three persons who recieved the IADR/Lion Dental Research Award for Junior Investigators.

We are particularly proud to annonce that the second winner of the IADR/Unilever Hatton Divisonal Awards for the Senior Category: Clinical Resarch this year is Mervi Gursoy from University of Turku, Finland. It is a number of years since any of the international Hatton Award prices went to a Scandinavian researcher.

We are within the Scandinavian Division of IADR proud of their achievements and send our warmest congratuations.
